Common questions

I see the prayer banner but hear no Azan.

Check that your phone isn’t on silent and the volume is up. On iPhone, also check Settings → Notifications → Azan → Sounds is on. To hear a prayer even on silent, turn on “Ring even on silent” for it in Azan → Settings.

Fajr didn’t sound while I was asleep.

Turn on “Ring even on silent” for Fajr. It rings like an alarm through silent mode, Focus and Sleep. Also allow Azan in your Sleep Focus.

Only the start of the Azan played.

Phones limit notification sounds to about 30 seconds. Tap the notification to hear the whole Azan, or use “Ring even on silent”, which plays it in full.

The prayer times are a few minutes off from my mosque.

In Settings, change the calculation method or Asr rule to match your mosque. Mosques sometimes add a few minutes to the calculated time.

How do I use my own Azan recording?

Settings → Azan voice → Add your own Azan, then choose an audio file (MP3, M4A or WAV).
